How to start a Squat Workout?

“The Squat Tracker” harnesses the capabilities of machine learning to identify squats. You can utilize your phone’s camera for this feature, which discerns a person standing before the camera and employs machine learning to predict whether they are engaging in squats or not. 

Using the input frames received from the phone’s camera, the human body pose is retrieved if a person is detected in the frame, which in turn gives out the position of various body joints present in the frame, which are then fed into our machine learning model. The model in response to the input gives out the predicted action along with a confidence score. 

In addition to that, it also tracks the number of repetitions of squats being done. 

Follow the instructions below to start a squat workout with Vantage Fit: 

Step 1. On the home screen of the Vantage Fit app, select the “+” Button.  

Step 2. Select Start Squats Workout. 

Step 3. Read the ‌instructions. Place your phone at ground level, face the camera, and adjust your phone in a vertically upright position to start the workout.  

Step 4. Once the previous steps are completed, fit yourself inside the human frame.  

Step 5. Once the app recognizes your body inside the human frame, it will start tracking your squats.  

Step 6. Perform squats and the app will automatically track your progress. 

Step 7. When the workout is completed, select “Finish Workout” and then select “Save” to save your workout.
